One Man's War - Frank Stroobant Signed
From the notes that he kept from 1939 to 1945, the author wrote this autobiographical account of the extreme difficulties that the local population encountered. He tells of the lack of food, petrol and other consumer items; of the deportation of Guernsey's men, women and children to internment camps in Germany and of their harsh lives there. Above all, Stroobant portrays what it meant to the islanders to be invaded.
